Clixo and Paper Creations

Free-form building:

• Allow the students to freely explore and build with the Clixo pieces.
• Encourage them to experiment with different combinations and create their own unique designs. This helps develop their spatial awareness and problem-solving skills.

Collaborative creations:

• Once the students are comfortable with the Clixo pieces, encourage them to work together to build larger structures.
• They can take turns adding pieces and see how they can connect and support each other's ideas.
• Use the Clixo activity cards for inspiration prompts.

Drawing inspiration:

• Have the students observe their Clixo creations and think of ways they could use paper to decorate, enhance, or elevate their designs: background and surroundings, new shapes, accessories, or decorations.
• Using markers, ask them to draw their ideas on the pieces of paper, and then cut them out.
• This activity helps practice hand-eye coordination and spatial recognition.

Combining paper and Clixo:

• Ask the students to incorporate their paper drawings in the Clixo designs by sliding them in between the connected magnets.

Storytelling:

• After the students have finished creating their combined designs, encourage them to tell a story based on their creations.
• They can describe the characters, settings, and events happening in their drawings and Clixo designs.
• This activity promotes imagination and language development.

• Provide a space where the students can proudly display their Clixo structures and drawings.
• Allow time for them to present, observe and discuss each other's work and tell the stories of their creations.
• Ask questions like, "What inspired you to create this?", "What is your favorite part of the design?", or "What would you change/do differently?"

• Provide guidance and supervision while the students are using the Clixo pieces, markers and scissors.
• Make sure the students aren’t cutting the Clixo pieces, only the paper.
• Encourage students to collaborate and work together on their builds and designs.
• This activity should be flexible and child-led, allowing them to explore and express their creativity in their own unique ways.
